Plenty to do in Kamloops this weekend

KAMLOOPS - There are both indoor and outdoor events happening in Kamloops this weekend.

You still have an opportunity to see the 20th Annual Wildlights Festival at the B.C. Wildlife Park this weekend. They are open daily from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Not only can you take in the holiday displays but you can see some of the resident animals. Chris the Clown is a special guest.

Do you enjoy the cowboy two-step and the foxtrot? If so, the Kamloops Old Time Fiddlers is hosting a dance at The Brock Activity Centre tomorrow, Jan. 6. The cost for members is $6 and $10 for non-members. Click here for more information.

The Sun Peaks Family Cup "All Nations Celebration" is celebrating its 12th year at Sun Peaks Resort tomorrow. If racing in a family friendly Dual Slalom race sounds exciting, click here for more information.

If you have an interest in mandalas, there is a workshop happening tomorrow at the Happyness Center from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. At this event, you will learn about mandalas, why they are made and how to use them for meditation. More information about this workshop is available here.

The Yale County Jug Band is playing at Chances tomorrow from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Click here for more information.

On Sunday, Jan. 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can enjoy Reiki and Restore at Kamloops Hot Yoga. This event is taking place in an unheated room. Reiki is a gentle, hands-on healing technique used for stress reduction and optimizing health. For more information click here.

The Paradime Essentials and Centennial Building Wellness Centre Pool are presenting Enter the New You on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This event will feature intention setting, meditation, essential oils, and vision boards to help you this year. This event cost $25 which includes snacks, meditation, vision board supplies and your own intention setting blend.
