Plan your next Kamloops or Vernon adventure around craft breweries

FILE PHOTO

Craft breweries in the Thompson and Shuswap have made it onto the B.C. Ale Trail.

According to the organization's website, more regions will be added to the trail over the summer including in Kamloops, the Shuswap and Vernon.

The ale trail launched in 2016, and features 16 different regional trails across the province offering itineraries, maps, photography and videos for craft beer tourists to plan excursions that involve craft beer and other regional activities. Kelowna and Penticton already are featured on the Ale Trail.

The new Kamloops, Shuswap and Vernon Ale Trail features a group of six craft breweries, including Kamloops's Iron Road Brewing, the Noble Pig Brewhouse and Red Collar Brewing. Vernon's Marten Brewpub and Salmon Arm's Barley Station Brewpub are also included.

The ale trail is a self-guided tour highlighting local craft brewery destinations and the landscapes surrounding them.
