Plan for showers and cooler temperatures in the Okanagan for the Labour Day long weekend

OKANAGAN - The long weekend forecast from Environment Canada starts out rather wet, but should dry out by Sunday with temperatures expected to stay around 20 Celsius.

It could get a little soggy outside today, Sept. 1. Expect a mix of sun and cloud with a 70 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. Today's high temperature is expected to reach 21 C.

Rain should continue into Friday with showers and a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high should reach 17 C and drop to 9 C overnight.

Saturday should be mostly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of rain. Expect the high temperature hit 17 C and drop to 7 C overnight.

Things get a chance to dry out on Sunday. Plan for a mix of sun and cloud with a high temperature of 20 C.

Labour Day Monday should be much the same as Sunday. The holiday is calling for a mix sun and cloud with a high of 21 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 23 C and lows of 11 C.
