With New Year's Eve comes celebration, and what better way to ring in the new year than spending a night on the town with old and new friends.
Typically, a New Year's Eve might mean watching a ball drop on the television, having some good food and laughs with friends and family or playing games.
From dancing at a club, singing karaoke, playing some brain games, snowshoeing or even staying home, there is a lot to do to celebrate the coming year in Kamloops and the Okanagan.
Here is a list of ways to spend your New Years Eve to finish the 2024 year.
Kamloops
Masked Affair New Years Party
This end of the year celebration is sure to blow your socks off, all they while keeping a mask on. Starting at 10 p.m., a glitter filled masquerade party will be a popular setting to say hello to 2025. Hosted by Le Vagué Entertainment, decked out party masks and gift favours will be available to party goers. The venue is the Commodore Grand Cafe and Lounge, located at 369 Victoria St, where special drinks for new years are also available to order.
The dress code is anything semi fancy in black, white, gold and glittery materials to shimmer and shine into the new year and add some extra excitement to the evening. Guest DJ’s will perform throughout the night to keep the good times coming. Tickets are sold for $11.98 online and are selling out quickly.

New Years Eve at The Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre
You can’t go wrong with a classy evening at The Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre, located at 1250 Rogers Way. The doors open at 6 p.m for this event and the evening will begin with a cocktail hour, and a DJ, followed by a dinner buffet at 7 p.m, prepared by Uptown Chefs Catering.
From 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., Rann Berry and his band will perform for all party goers, with a brief intermission at 12 a.m. for champagne and a toast to the new year. A hotel room can also be booked separately for those who wish to stay the night. Tickets begin at $97.18 per ticket, and are selling out relatively quickly. Tickets can be bought here.

New Year's Eve Karaoke
Celebrate New Year's Eve with a more tame, but still exciting time at The Office Pub and Grill, where you are the star of the show. Located at 2020 Falcon Rd, this evening should be great for those who want to spend quality time with friends and family while singing their hearts out. With an evening full of Karaoke, good food and good drinks, the most casual and fun New Year’s Eve can be celebrated here. Dinner deals start at 5 p.m., with foods like fish and chips with a beer for $20, or a steak sandwich with fries and a beer for $22.95. With deals like that, you can’t go wrong.
After 7 p.m., a six ounce glass of wine is half off, and pints of Molson Canadian, Coors Light and Pilsner are $5.75. Enjoy a night of chatting with friends, listening to local talent and eating traditional pub food. While the food is good, all the rave is about the Karaoke and shedding some light on local talent. New York New Year's Eve
This traditional New Year's Eve celebration at Stuart Park and the Kelowna Community Theatre isn't one to miss. With live performances, snow activities, games, dancing, crafts, free hot chocolate, glow sticks and giveaways, there is absolutely something for everyone. The celebration will also have food trucks for those who want a snack, and to top off the evening, a fireworks show at 9 p.m. will be on display to ring in the New Year. The O.K Corral Cabaret Black Tie Affair
Celebrate the New Year on the West Coast with a Western Country party at the O.K. Corral Cabaret. Located at 1978 Kirschner Rd, this new years part will make you want to boot-scoot and boogie with classic and modern country hits, all while surrounded by horse saddles, decorative bull skulls and line dancing. As this event is called a "Black Tie Affair," guests can get decked out and dress to the nines to ring in the new year in their snazziest fashions.

Tremendous Trivia at Shore Line Brewing
Slow down the evening and start your year off right while playing some trivia brain teasers at Shore Line brewing. For those who want a more laid back but still exciting New Years Eve, an evening of trivia questions hosted by Tremendous Trivia. Located at 3477 Lakeshore Road, 116 players are quizzed on general knowledge, pop culture trivia and music of the ages. The event begins at 7 p.m and runs until 9 p.m., leaving enough time to make a second celebration stop at another venue, or even enough time to head home for a cozy night in bed.

Distrikt Night Club
For those who love to party, Dictrikt nightclub is hosting a celebration for dancers, fun lovers and night owls. Along with complimentary pizza, champagne, and a balloon drop loaded with cash, prizes and other give aways. To celebrate the coming of 2025, Distrikt is also staying open later than usual, until 3 a.m., for those who just want to keep the party going.
Dress to impress at this event and get ready to rock in the new year. Tickets are only sold at the door starting at $20 and will rise in price as the night goes on and the venue fills up.

Penticton
Get fancy this New Year’s Eve at the Poplar Grove Winery with a five course meal, with optional wine pairings for an elevated experience. Celebrate with friends and family at this festivity, starting at 5 p.m and ending at 9 p.m., located at 425 Middle Bench Rd North. For $175 including tax and tip, guests will experience luxurious appetizers of oysters, duck and tuna tartar, followed by two courses of squash and crispy pork belly, crab tortellini, and an option between a rack of lamb or scallops as the main course.
Dessert is a dark chocolate ganache with toasted meringue, cranberry gel and orange milk crumb to complete the meal. For those who prefer an alcohol free evening, the price is lowered to $125. SilverStar Brewing Party
The Rock'n the Brewery New Year's party is a fun way to spend New Year's Eve, with craft beer and champagne at midnight, theres no netter way to ring in the new year. Tickets for this event are $25 if booked in advance, and are $30 at the door. Live music, dancing and partying until 2 a.m. can also be expected at this celebration. The doors open at 8 p.m. Located at 2933 30th Ave, this party is perfect for those who want a comfy and fun night on the town. Also included in this ticket is a craft beer and champagne at midnight.

Winter Wonderland at The Kal
Located at 3004 30th Ave, the Winter Wonderland is an enchanting evening at The Kal, and just perfect for all those who love a Winter landscape. This event is fancy, so be sure to dress up to welcome the new year in style. Tickets can be purchased for $22.63 each, and is said to ensure snow, lights and festive cheer. The doors open at 8 p.m. and the party will continue until 2 a.m. for those who love to celebrate a little bit longer.

SilverStar Mountain Resort
Ring in your new year with a bang with fireworks at SilverStar Mountain village, located at 123 Shortt St. This event will have hot chocolate, a DJ, festive lights, s'mores around the fire and a firework display to boot. Starting at 3 p.m., the DJ and party begins, followed by a torchlight parade a 5 p.m., and fireworks at 5:15 p.m. For the next 45 minutes, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the festive cheer before the celebration finishes at 6 p.m. More information about the event can be found here.
