PENTICTON - Additional streets and parking lots are adding to next year's snow and ice removal costs in Penticton.

The city’s annual snow removal budget could be on the rise from $345,000 to $359,300 in 2018.

City staff will present a revised snow and ice control policy, which includes the budget increase, to council at tomorrow’s, Nov. 21, regular meeting.

A report to council indicates changes to the policy this year include streets and parking lots added to the city’s jurisdiction including:

  • Partridge Drive extension
  • Timberstone Place
  • Avery Place
  • A parking lot and sidewalk on Nanaimo Avenue
  • A parking lot at Brunswick Street and Nanaimo Avenue
