Penticton RCMP welcome new police dog

Penticton RCMP dog handler Cpl. Jason Goodfellow with the detachment's new police dog, Harro.

PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP have a new weapon in their crime fighting arsenal as the detachment welcomes its second police dog.

Harro is a two-year-old German Shepherd who completed his training in May, according to an RCMP media release.

He and his handler, Cpl. Jason Goodfellow arrived in Penticton from Swift Current, Sask. earlier this year.

Penticton is Cpl. Goodfellow’s seventh posting and Harro his fourth police service dog in a career spanning 19 years.
