PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are continuing investigation into an incident involving a stolen vehicle that ran a roadside check on the weekend.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Ted Manchulenko says a Toyota, stolen Nov. 29 from the Apex area, ran a police roadside checkstop on Carder Road Saturday evening, Dec. 2.

Police located the vehicle some distance away, where it had been driven off the road. Police searched the area for anyone with injuries but were unable to locate anyone.

Further investigation revealed the plates on the vehicle had also been stolen from another vehicle.

The RCMP’s forensic investigation team continues to seek a suspect or suspects in the incident.
