Penticton RCMP seek Eastside Road hit and run suspect

Penticton RCMP are seeking the driver of a black Volkswagen Jetta following a multiple vehicle collision on Eastside Road last week.

Penticton RCMP are searching for the driver responsible for a multi-vehicle collision on Eastside Road last week.

Officers responded to Eastside Road at Parsons Road around 4 p.m. June 19 where several witnesses reported a black Volkswagen Jetta had collided with two other vehicles before fleeing north on Eastside Road toward Penticton, according to an RCMP media release.

The collision happened when the Jetta driver, northbound on Eastside Road, crossed into the southbound lane and struck two oncoming vehicles.

“Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of this blatant hit and run. Our officers are actively searching for the vehicle and its driver, and encourage any witnesses to get in touch with us”, Penticton RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in the release.
