Police are asking for the public’s help to find a woman who is a person of interest in a string of thefts in South Okanagan.
There has been an increase in thefts from vehicles and houses from Peachland to Osoyoos over the last three weeks, according to a press release from police.
Investigators have witness photos and surveillance footage that show a woman related to the thefts.
She is described as Caucasian, 35 to 45 years old, blonde hair with a skinny build.
“We urge anyone who recognizes this individual or has any information related to these thefts to come forward,” Const. Kelly Brett said in the release. “Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial in helping us solve these cases and prevent further incidents.”
RCMP want to remind people to be cautious and protect their property; lock your car doors, avoid leaving valuables in plain sight, and report suspicious activity to the police.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact RCMP at 250-492-4300 and reference Penticton RCMP file 2024-11568, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online.
