Penticton man arrested for year-old fire at car dealership

Penticton resident Donald Richard Lorenzetto, 40, was arrested yesterday, May 8, and charged with two counts of arson and mischief.

He was one of two men arrested shortly after a May 11, 2022, fire at the Penticton Toyota dealership.

“This was a difficult and labour-intensive investigation that led us to determine the cause and subsequent person responsible,” Cpl. James Grandy said in an RCMP news release issued today, May 9. “It takes gathering substantial evidence before charges can be approved.”

Lorenzetto remains in custody.
