PENTICTON - Residents near the Penticton boundary with Naramata were briefly evacuated due to a wildfire yesterday, July 29.
City of Penticton spokesperson for the City of Penticton said in a release that everyone has been cleared to return home after a 'tactical evacuation' of Sutherland Road yesterday afternoon.
"The fire is holding at 100 per cent containment and crews are mopping up now," says Chambers.
The first responders to the fire were the Naramata and Penticton crews and they had air support and an initial tactical team came from the Ministry of Forestry.
