Penticton Community Centre leisure pool repair work underway

City of Penticton Communiciations Officer Simone Blais says the city hopes to have the Penticton Community Centre leisure pool back in use by mid - November.

PENTICTON - The leaky leisure pool in Penticton will be fixed, but it will be several weeks before the pool can be used again.

Work crews and professionals have come up with a solution to fix the pool’s leaking drains, which were discovered while refilling the pool following a summer shut down for pool deck tile replacement, according to Communications Officer Simone Blais.

It is anticipated the repair work will take several weeks, with crews working at night during off hours to avoid schedule disruptions in the main pool.

The city hopes to have the leisure pool back in operation by the third week of November.

Blais offered city apologies for the inconvenience, adding crews will be working to minimize disruption and return the Penticton Community Centre Pools to full use as quickly as possible.
