Penticton’s RCMP street enforcement unit arrested four people and confiscated drugs and weapons in yesterday's take-down of a drug trafficking operation.

For the past two weeks officers of the SEU have been conducting an investigation into a local drug trafficking operation out of a residence on Lakeside Road, according to an RCMP media release.

Officers executed a search warrant yesterday, Jan. 15 along with members of the Targeted Enforcement Unit and front line officers.

Officers recovered a stolen shotgun, a .22 rifle and a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. They also recovered a stolen Miele coffee machine taken from a nearby property.

Numerous charges are pending against two men and two women found inside the residence, police say.

“All officers of the South Okanagan remain proactive in efforts to prevent illegal drugs and dangerous weapons from being on our streets,” RCMP media liaison officer Const. James Grandy said in the release.
