Paving work will impact traffic on Highway 97

Road crews will be repaving about 30 km of Highway 97 between Bailey Road in Vernon, and Old Vernon Road in Kelowna throughout May 2015.

VERNON - There will be delays on Highway 97 over the next month as repaving work gets underway.

The project is for roughly 30 km of highway resurfacing between Old Vernon Road and Bailey Road. A five kilometer section on Highway 33 from Beaverdell Dump Road to Beaverdell will also be included

The $3.8 million project is expected to wrap up June 5.

Work will be done at night, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

Drive B.C. advises travellers the highway will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic.
