Parked vehicles vandalized in Penticton by man with piece of lumber

FILE PHOTO

A 22-year-old man from Whitehorse, Yukon, has been arrested for damaging parked cars in Penticton with a 2x4 piece of lumber.

Police responded to multiple calls on Tuesday, Sept. 5, about a man walking down Moosejaw Street hitting cars with a plank of wood, according to an RCMP media release.

Later that evening, police arrested a suspect and currently have him in custody on charges of mischief and failing to abide by court imposed conditions from a previous incident.

No one was injured during his car damaging spree.

Anyone believes their property was also damaged as a result of this incident, and haven’t yet reported it, is encouraged to contact the Penticton RCMP, quoting file 2023-14523.
