WEST KELOWNA - The fifth annual Diner En Blanc Okanagan took place in the vineyard of Quali's Gate Winery in West Kelowna last night.

The all white, outdoor dinner party is held at a different secret location each year. Features of the Paris-bourne event include a waving of white napkins to start the night off and sparklers when it's over. It has become a worldwide event.

Access to Diner en Blanc is by invite only and guests don't find out where they will spend the evening until they are on their bus. It sells out every year and by 7 p.m. last night, July 7, 1,100 guests from across the Okanagan were setting up their tables in long rows overlooking Lake Okanagan.
