Osoyoos resident faces multiple charges for break and enters

OSOYOOS - Osoyoos police have arrested a suspect in connection with several break-ins and thefts.

RCMP say Kael Svendsen, 21, appeared in Penticton court yesterday, Jan. 17, facing 13 charges.

On Nov. 25, 2017 officers responded to a residential break and enter on 2 Avenue in Osoyoos, according to an RCMP media release, and the investigation lead them to a hotel room where a search found a large quantity of stolen property.

Police say the property, including a firearm, had been stolen during several residential break and enters and thefts from vehicles.

Svendsen is charged with one count of break and enter, eight counts of possess of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of fraud under $5,000, one count of possession of a firearm without a permit and one count of unsafe storage of a firearm.
