OSOYOOS - Osoyoos RCMP are in possession of a piece of jewellery and hope to find its owner.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Jason Bayda says in a media release a ring was found on the beach on Aug. 26, near hotel row in Osoyoos.

The ring contains several gemstones and is silver in colour.

Bayda says a detailed description of the ring will be requested by police in order for the owner to successfully claim it. Photos of the ring prior to its loss will help prove ownership, he says.

If you lost a ring during your travels in Osoyoos contact the Osoyoos RCMP at 250-495-7236 and quote file 2017-4800.
