One person injured in four-vehicle crash in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA - A four-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near Boucherie Road closed the highway for hours last night.

The male driver of one vehicle was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with serious injuries following the crash at around 6:20 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 23, according to an RCMP news release.

The highway was closed in both directions from Boucherie Road to the Bennett Bridge, with traffic routed around the scene at Westside Road.

Members of the RCMP’s Southeast District Traffic Services and a Collision Reconstructionist were called to the scene to investigate.

The highway reopened early this morning.

Anyone who saw the collision or can provide dashcam video is asked to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
