ARMSTRONG - A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital today after colliding with a vehicle in Armstrong.

Just after 10 a.m. today, July, 26, police responded to a two vehicle collision in the 2210 block of Highway 97 near Tonasket Road in Armstrong, Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett says in a media release.

“A motorcycle and small SUV were involved in the collision. The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to the nearest medical facility with what appeared to be serious injuries,” Brett says in the release.

The highway was closed for a time, but is now back open to traffic, she says.

An RCMP traffic analyst attended the scene to conduct further investigation and the North Okanagan Traffic Services has taken over the matter, Brett says.
