KAMLOOPS - One man is dead after a being hit by a vehicle on Westsyde Road.
Just before midnight last night, March 13, a 36-year-old man was hit at the intersection of Westsyde Road and 8 Street. Emergency crews attended the scene and the man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital, but he later died of his injuries, according to a police press release.
The driver, a 20-year-old man, stayed on the scene. Speed may have been a factor in the collision.
Police are still investigating the incident. Westsyde Road was closed from midnight to 4:30 a.m. as traffic analysts were on scene.
