KAMLOOPS — A collision near Hoffman's Bluff holiday Monday has been turned over to the coroner's office, RCMP confirm.
Initial reports said a woman driving a car eastbound on Highway 1 crossed the centre line and collided with a pickup truck shortly before noon.
There were slippery sections on roads throughout the region Monday. Slippery, slushy sections in the Hope/Chilliwack area are also being blamed for the death of Kamloops teacher Jennifer Swan when the van she was in crashed and became partially submerged, while a Kamloops man suffered serious injuries when hit by an out of control vehicle as he stood on the side of the highway.
At the end of January two Ontario men died on the same section of highway just west of Chase in a head-on collision between two semitrucks.
