TORONTO - Kyle Jones, Brent McMahon and Kathy Tremblay will join Paula Findlay and former Olympic champion Simon Whitfield on Canada's Olympic triathlon team in London.

Triathlon Canada announced the three athletes to complete the team Tuesday.

Whitfield, an Olympic gold and silver medallist from Kingston, Ont., and Edmonton's Findlay were pre-selected to the team last November.

Jones, from Oakville, Ont., was an alternate on the men's team in 2008, when Whitfield won silver. Whitfield won gold in 2000 when triathlon made its Olympic debut.

Victoria's McMahon raced in the 2004 Games in Athens and was a bronze medallist at the Pan American Games last year.

Montreal's Tremblay will also compete in her second Olympic Games. She earned her first World Cup victory this year in Japan.

The women race the 1.5-kilometre swim, 40-kilometre bike and 10-kilometre run on Aug. 4 in and around Hyde Park, followed by the men's event Aug. 7.
