Dara Howell finishes third in slopestyle skiing for second medal in two days

PARK CITY, Utah - Dara Howell of Huntsville, Ont., took her second medal in as many days at the U.S. Grand Prix in Park City, Utah, finishing third in Saturday's slopestyle skiing event.

A day after winning silver in slopestyle on the same course, Howell scored 90.2 points for bronze. Americans Julia Krass and Keri Herman took gold and silver, respectively.

"It was the best I ever skied," said Howell. "The level of competition was on fire today. It's final qualifications for the U.S. Ski Team, so it's great to see how high the level is being pushed here."

Quebec City's Kim Lamarre finished fourth with a score of 85.8 while Yuki Tsubota of Whister, B.C., finished fifth with 81.2 points.

In men's action, Americans swept the top three spots with Joss Christensen's 96.21 points providing the winning run. Gus Kenworthy finished second and Bobby Brown took bronze.

Alex Beaulieau-Marchand of St-Augustin-De-Desmaures, Que., finished sixth with 89.00 points. Vincent Gagnier of Victoriaville, Que., was ninth and Noah Morrison was 10th.
