Okanagan woman sculpts a big, mean guard dog out of snow on front yard

An Osoyoos homeowner has created a giant beast out of snow this week.

Linda Walton (no relation to the reporter) was inspired to sculpt the snow in her yard into a boxer-bulldog after seeing an impressive photo online of another dog sculpture.

“And I tried to, shall we say, copy it,” Walton said. “But nope – guess it was my own rendition.”

It was her first attempt at a large snow sculpture and she did it without any help.

With a high of 3 degrees Celsius in Osoyoos today, Jan. 15, she doesn't expect it to last very much longer in the weather.

There might be something in Osoyoos' water – or maybe in its snow – because another resident of the town decided to sculpt a large Stegosaurus out of snow earlier in the week.
