As of tomorrow, the Okanagan Regional Library will be closing all its branches until further notice.

According to a media release from the Okanagan Regional Library, the decision has been made on the direction and recommendation of the public health officials to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

"Out of care and concern for the public, our customers and our staff we will be closing until further notice," reads the statement.

The library says at the end of opening hours today, March 16, all book drops will be closed, and the library will not be fining members for returning books late.

Online resources will still be available and can be accessed remotely using a library pass.
