One of two brothers involved in an assault on Kelowna's section of the Okanagan Rail Trail was arrested again yesterday.

Kelowna RCMP said he was arrested on Jan. 19 and will remain in custody at least until his next court appearance, which is scheduled later today, Jan 20.

Court documents show Kyle Ervine Radis was wanted on a warrant issued, Jan. 9.

“Once again we are grateful for the assistance of both the local media outlets and the community in helping track down this individual," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said in a news release.

Radis is facing aggravated assault and robbery charges from the Nov. 9, 2021, incident that left a 17-year-old with a fractured skull and collapsed lung on the Okanagan Rail Trail.

Radis, born in 1986, failed to show up for court at least twice after his release. Most recently was a Jan. 9 hearing, with a Dec. 14 appearance where both brothers failed to show up.

Younger brother Justin Peter Radis, born in 1988, has been in custody since at least Jan. 3.

The court will decide whether to keep Kyle in custody, while his brother Justin will have a separate hearing, according to online court records.
