OKANAGAN – Fire crews put out a house fire near Okanagan Falls this afternoon.

The volunteer firefighters were called to a home in the 700 block of Highway 97 just north of Okanagan Falls today, Dec. 9, around noon.

The homeowner, Joseph Hunt, says when he arrived home, he opened the patio door, discovered his house was full of smoke and called 911.

No word yet on how bad the damage is from the fire, but there was a lot of smoke.

No one was hurt.

While the cause of the blaze is unknown at this point, Hunt says he was doing renovations in the house earlier in the day.
