Kot Auto Group's annual Pay if Forward campaign has infused the community with goodwill.

Pay it Forward is a campaign that provides $500 to each employee to donate to a cause or charity of their choice.

“It is important to support the local community and we want to share as well as inspire our employees to do the same,” John Kot, the company president said in a press release.

With Kot Auto Group's recent acquisition of Victoria Hyundai and Kelowna Kia, Kot Auto Group has upwards of 100 employees which means nearly $50,000 donated to various charities that are meaningful to employees.

In the last two years, some of these organizations and causes have touched and affected some of the staff very personally and John Kot and wife Trina have been inspired to continue the campaign for future years. With the choice of charity coming directly from the employees this means more funds for a more diverse group of causes.

John Kot, originally a small-town farmer from Weyburn, Saskatchewan adds the “Pay it Forward” campaign to the existing Christmas tradition where every employee receives a local organic turkey for Christmas to share with their families.

Turkeys embody the spirit of the season and that is why this tradition has endured many generations. A holiday gift that is practical, meaningful and ritual that Kot Auto Group will continue for years to come.
