If you’ve ever wondered what $7,500 worth of pizza looks like, wonder no more.

Okanagan Marketing Solutions and its clients will be making the first of seven deliveries of pizza to Kelowna’s Gospel Mission, Thursday, July 15, according to a media release.

The first delivery of 72 large pizzas will be served to those staying at two emergency shelters, four women’s transitional homes and to those living outside in the parking lot on Recreation Avenue.

“As with most businesses, navigating the COVID pandemic has been challenging; however, we feel supporting and donating to a valuable cause within our community now is more important than ever,” company president Senthil Thirugnana said in the release. “Life is all about giving back. Supporting Kelowna’s Gospel Mission this year brings me joy.”

The donation of seven “Pizza Nights” is being made on behalf of Thirugnana’s customers and the community. The gospel mission figures that works out to 5,000 slices and 200 meals each of the seven days.

“Providing meals to people experiencing homelessness and poverty has always been the first step towards wellness,” Troy McKnight with the gospel mission said in the release. “When you are struggling with various complex issues, having a delicious meal of pizza provided for you is a welcome gift.”
