Not much chance of fresh snow in time for Christmas in Kamloops

What you see is what you're likely to get, as there is no more snow in the Kamloops forecast between now and Christmas.

It appears as though what you see is what you're going to get if you're hoping for a white Christmas in Kamloops this year.

There’s little chance of more snow for Kamloops before Christmas, as the forecast for the next few days calls for some sunshine, some clouds, temperatures at or slightly below freezing and little in the way of precipitation.

Environment Canada says in Kamloops today, Dec. 23, expect a mix of sun and cloud with a high to 0 Celsius along with 15 km/h winds and a windchill of -6 C. The mercury is expected to drop to -4 C overnight.

The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud on Christmas Eve tomorrow with a 15 km/h wind, a high to -1 C and a windchill of -5 C. Tomorrow night should see cloudy periods and a low to -3 C.

Cloudy conditions are expected Wednesday, Christmas Day, with a high of 0 C and a low of -3 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is in store for Boxing Day on Thursday with a high of 0 C and an overnight low of -7 C under cloudy skies.

The sun is expected to return Friday with a high to -1 C and an overnight low of -2 C under cloudy skies.

It looks like a warmer but mostly cloudy weekend ahead, with a high of 2 C on Saturday and a high of 4 C on Sunday.

Normal temperatures this time of year in Kamloops are highs of -1 C and lows of -7 C.
