An avid Aurora Borealis photographer captured the colourful night lights in the Okanagan and says tonight may provide another opportunity for residents to see them.

Nick Clement captured the beautiful green glow of the Northern Lights last night, March 19 in Oyama.

He said tonight might be promising for a chance to see them in the Interior if skies remain clear.

Look north in spots that have little light pollution.

“Over lakes are great as you get the reflection. Oyama Lake, Beaver Lake, would be great spots," he said.

A minor geomagnetic storm watch is in effect March 20-21, according to Astronomy North, a northern non-profit dedicated to sky education and outreach.

This means residents might be able to see them in the South, Clements said.

Peak activity is expected in the hours before and after midnight. Tonight's forecast is mainly cloudy with a 30% chance of showers in Kelowna.
