KAMLOOPS - A truck pulling a travel trailer flipped on Highway 5 and is now blocking both northbound lanes near Inks Lake.

Staff Sgt. Doug Aird with the rural RCMP says a truck pulling a trailer lost a front tire, causing the driver to lose control and the trailer to flip. It came to rest blocking both lanes of traffic.

The driver was treated at the scene for lacerations to their arm and the passenger was uninjured.

The Coquihalla Highway remains blocked to all northbound traffic but it is estimated a tow truck will be on scene to clear debris by 10 a.m.

Drive B.C. says a detour is available through the Walloper exit through Lac Le Jeune Road. Estimated time of reopening is 11 a.m.
