North Okanagan RCMP seek help in locating armed robbery suspect

VERNON - After two months of searching without any results, the North Okanagan RCMP is appealing to the public to help locate a suspected armed robber.

An RCMP media release asks for the public's help in finding Michael David Trosky, 29, who is wanted by police following a series of events that took place in the Okanagan and Shuswap areas over a two month period.

Trosky is wanted in connection with an armed robbery Salmon Arm RCMP responded to Dec.17, 2018. One suspect was arrested during the incident, but Trosky managed to evade police.

Following the robbery, a warrant was issued for Troksy's arrest with charges of attempted armed robbery, dangerous driving, flight from police, assault with a weapon and failing to stop.

Troksy also has outstanding warrants for flight from police, theft, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and prohibited driving.

"If you see Michael Trosky, or know where he may be, contact the RCMP or your police of jurisdiction. Under no circumstances should you confront or try to apprehend Trosky," Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett says in the media release.
