VERNON - A North Okanagan man convicted of animal cruelty will return to court in March.
Sentencing for Gary Roberts of Armstrong is scheduled for March 15, 2017 in Vernon Provincial Court.
Roberts was convicted last week on two counts of animal cruelty, causing unnecessary pain or suffering to an animal and failing to provide the necessities of life.
Roberts had more than 100 horses in December 2014 when the SPCA executed a search warrant and seized 16 emaciated horses. The rest were sold at a court-ordered auction.
