Kamloops residents will have to continue to bundle up through the weekend as the present cold weather is expected to continue.

KAMLOOPS - It’s shaping up to be a cold February in Kamloops this year.
Environment Canada meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says it doesn’t look like a return to normal temperatures is happening anytime soon, as Kamloops will receive another shot of cold air on the weekend following passage of a weak front tomorrow. Over the longer term, temperatures are expected to moderate a bit before more cold weather is a possibility later in the month.
Today, Feb. 7, in Kamloops you can expect around two centimetres of snow with a high reaching -8 Celsius and an overnight low of -12 C. Windchills will range from -22 C in the morning and overnight to -13 C in the afternoon and evening. An additional two cm of snow is expected overnight.
It will be mainly cloudy tomorrow with a 40 per cent chance of flurries as winds pick up from the west at 30 km/h gusting to 50. Friday’s high will be -7 C with an overnight low of -11 C and windchills in the -22 C to -16 C range. More light snow is expected overnight tomorrow.
On Saturday, the winter weather continues with periods of snow and a high of -9 C. Skies will clear overnight Saturday with a low of -14 C.
Sunday will be mainly sunny with a high of -7 C and a low of -14 C.
Monday the sunny skies continue, but so does the cold, with a high of -7 C and a low of -15 C.
Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 3 C and lows of -5 C.
