No criminality in death of woman whose body was found in Kelowna park

A woman, likely in her mid-30’s, was found dead near the Mission Creek Park yesterday.

Officers were called to Mission Creek Park and Mission Creek Greenway area at approximately 3:10 p.m, March 30, to investigate after a body was found by park goers, according to an RCMP media release.

Access to area was closed to the public while the RCMP investigated.

“It was non-criminal," Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera told iNFOnews.ca. "It was just unfortunate."

The woman was a Kelowna resident and her next of kin, who are also local, have been notified.

Della-Paolera declined to make any further comment on the incident out of consideration for the family.
