PENTICTON - The regional district has found a new public works manager.

Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen chief administrative officer Bill Newell says Janine Dougall has been hired.

Dougall comes to the regional district following 13 years as the director of environmental services at the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, according to a media release.

Her experience includes senior management level work in all areas of the public works portfolio including solid waste, liquid waste, water, project management, procurement and contract management.

“Ms. Dougall has a proven track record and comes highly recommended,” Newell says in the release.

Dougall is expected to start her new job on April 10. She will assume the role vacated by Roger Huston.
