Kamloops residents looking to pick up a drink or meal after shopping at Aberdeen Mall will soon be in luck with a new pub on the way.
City council approved a development application for a Canadian Brewhouse to be built on the northwest end of the Aberdeen Mall parking lot. Council voted in favour of the development application at an Aug. 17 council meeting.
The 667 square-metre, two-storey tall pub will feature a rooftop patio at its new Kamloops location.

While it will take up some parking spaces in its location near Hillside Drive and facing Best Buy, mall property will still exceed its minimum parking requirement. At least 1,859 parking spaces would be required after the pub is built, but mall property will contain 2,098 parking spaces when including 178 spaces on mall property across Hillside Drive.
The new Kamloops Canadian Brewhouse is the sixth B.C. location, which includes two in the Lower Mainland and one in Kelowna.
The Edmonton-based company has multiple locations across western Canada and one in Oshawa, Ontario.
