Crews are fighting a wildfire that started yesterday near Lillooet that is currently classified as out of control.

The fire started 28.5 km southeast of Lillooet August 17 and is an estimated five hectares in size, according to the Kamloops Fire Centre.

"There has been no growth overnight," said Fire Information Officer Gagan Lidhran. "Today we have twenty-two personnel working on it throughout the day, with one helicopter bucketing on the fire as well."

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and at this time there are no structures at risk.
