There’s a new way for travellers to fly from Penticton to Vancouver.
Cascadia Air’s commuter planes will be offering direct service between the Penticton Airport and Vancouver International Airport’s South Terminal.
"Our residents and visitors love the convenience of flying direct to Penticton and our business community relies on it," Penticton Mayor John Vassilaki said in a media release.
"The City has made promoting the airport a priority for our economic development and it is great to see the services not only return to normal but expand. We are thrilled that Cascadia Air is increasing the options available to travellers and Council wishes them great success with their new service to our community."

Flights are already being offered four days a week. Before fees the cost is $159.80 per seat on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, and $173 on Thursdays. The company will determine consumer interest going forward.
Planes used by Cascadia Air are smaller, twin-engined aircraft, and have a maximum of six passengers to provide additional social distancing between passengers while increasing the comfort of their travel experience, the release said.
