OKANAGAN - After a week of near-normal high temperatures the mercury is expected to again hit the 30 Celsius mark throughout the region this weekend.
Environment Canada is calling for highs of 29 C and 30 C today, Sept. 11, and Saturday throughout the Okanagan, well above the seasonal normal high of 21 C. The sun will accompany the heat both days, making the summer heat feel that much warmer.
While the 30 C temperatures will be warm, they will likely remain just shy of record highs, which sit in the 32 C to 34 C range.
Sunday, things are expected cool back down to the seasonal normal high with a mix of sun and cloud and then Monday will be even cooler with a chance of showers.
Overnight lows should be near seasonal normals of 9 C Friday and Saturday night before dropping to just 6 C Sunday night.
