If you are looking for your next adventure, Kelowna-based Render Digital Media is calling for cast members for the upcoming season three of By Hook or By Cook.

The series stars Bruce Cook, a paraplegic motocross rider from Kelowna, who shocked and stunned onlookers when he landed a backflip while strapped to the seat of his dirt bike on America’s Got Talent: Extreme earlier this year.

The company is looking country-wide for applicants with disabilities who have “an urgent need for excitement and change” to participate in the new season.

“The show focuses on creating innovative ways for people with disabilities to fulfill lifelong dreams that seemed otherwise unobtainable,” the company said in a media release. “Instead of altering the world around people with disabilities, this team of innovative renegades is adapting how they all move through it – one epic adventure at a time.”

By Hook or By Cook is a recent Canadian Screen Award nominee. Season two premieres at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 16 on AMI-TV.

“Bruce Cook and his friends prove that creativity and innovation can turn an inaccessible world into a more inclusive and exciting place, starting with the local Chute Lake Lodge,” the company said. “This character driven series rejects the traditional models of disability to push the limits of disability with humour and authentic vulnerability.”
