TORONTO - It's a beautiful day for Canadian U2 fans: the Irish superstars have announced a nine-city North American tour that includes six shows north of the border.
The tour will launch with shows May 14 and 15 at Vancouver's Rogers Arena.
Montreal will also host a pair of shows at the Bell Centre on June 12 and 13.
And before a show-closing four-night run at New York's Madison Square Garden, Bono and co. will visit Toronto's Air Canada Centre on July 6 and 7.
Tickets for all the shows go on sale Monday.
U2 recently released their 13th album "Songs of Innocence" for free to iTunes customers, resulting in downloads by 30 million fans, according to a release from Live Nation.
Next year's tour will find U2 performing in indoor arenas for the first time in a decade.
"We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two and have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience," Bono said in a release. "More to be revealed!"
