TORONTO - Roughly a year after announcing a "not really" amicable breakup, it seems Juno Award-winning post-hardcore rockers Alexisonfire could be gathering for one final tour.

The band's former guitarist Wade MacNeil confirmed the news on Twitter.

No other band members have publicly commented yet on the rumour either way.

MacNeil, now the frontman for U.K. hardcore act Gallows, followed up by tweeting that any Alexisonfire reunion tour wouldn't conflict with his main act, which has tour dates scheduled throughout July and the fall.

As far as finding a time to tour, he added later that the band was "working on it now."

"Seems like the cat's out of the bag," MacNeil tweeted. "Alexisonfire will do one final tour."

The quintet announced their split last August in a lengthy blog post on their website, in which singer George Pettit said the breakup was necessary but not entirely friendly.

He added that fellow singer Dallas Green had informed the rest of the group that he wanted to focus on his Juno-winning City and Colour solo project, and the band decided to dissolve soon afterward.
