Multiple Vernon Superstore employees have tested positive for COVID-19 recently.

According to a list posted to the Loblaw Company Limited website which tracks cases at its stores across the country, workers at the Real Canadian Superstore on Anderson Way in Vernon were confirmed to have COVID-19 yesterday, April 14. Loblaw is Superstore's parent company.

"In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores," the post on Loblaw's website reads.

"For transparency, we regularly update the sections below with all positive COVID-19 cases in our stores, by province, in the last 15 days. For privacy, we will not release any personal information about our colleagues and employees."

Loblaw's did not list the number of employees who tested positive for the virus.

Interior Health could not be immediately reached for comment.
