Multi-vehicle crash closes Highway 97 in Penticton

Three out of four lanes are closed along Highway 97 in Penticton because of a serious multi-vehicle collision.

Police received a report of the crash at the intersection of Warren Avenue and the Channel Parkway around 2 p.m. today, Nov. 30, according to an RCMP press release.

Penticton RCMP and B.C. Highway Patrol are on scene.

One southbound lane is open to traffic while both northbound lanes and one southbound lane will be closed for an extended period during the police investigation.

You can expect delays due to congestion, according to Drive B.C.

Anybody who witnessed the accident is asked to call the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
