CENTRAL OKANAGAN - A shirtless man who allegedly robbed a Kelowna food truck of tip money has not been found and police are seeking public assistance in finding him.
Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers says a man approached the service door of a food truck at Gyro Beach on Tuesday, July 31 at about 4:15 p.m., demanding money and threatening an employee with a long-bladed hunting knife.
The employee managed to push the man out and lock the door but he ran around to the front of the truck, grabbed a tip cup and the employee’s long-board and took off to the north along Watt Road.
The alleged robber is described as being aproximately 30 years old, 200 lbs. standing six feet tall with short hair, a scruffy beard and two missing front teeth.
He is further described as having short hair, a dark tattoo on his left shoulder and was wearing black cut-offs and dirty white running shoes.
The employee was not harmed during the incident.
