SALMON ARM - A motorcyclist was taken to hospital and another driver issued a ticket after a collision on Sunday.

Salmon Arm RCMP Staff Sgt. Scott West says the crash occurred on Highway 97B when the motorcyclist was making a left hand turn onto 10 Ave SE. That's when the driver of the unidentified vehicle from 10 Ave pulled in front of the turning motorcyclist.

The rider was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. While the vehicle was minorly damaged, the bike was damaged heavily.

The driver of the vehicle, a 46 year old man, was ticketed for driving without due care and attention.
