Most Kelowna sports fields reopened after rain

UPDATE: 2:14 p.m. May 23, 2013

The City of Kelowna has re-opened all city sports fields and baseball diamonds except for Mission Ball Diamonds 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Rutland Mini Diamond (R7).  City crews will monitor the remaining fields daily and will re-open them when they are safe for use. 

UPDATE: 1:12 p.m. May 22, 2013

The City of Kelowna has temporarily closed all City sports fields and baseball diamonds, effective immediately, due to weather.

All recreation activity on the fields has been suspended to prevent damage and to ensure the safety of field users.

The fields are now closed and will remain closed until further notice. City crews will monitor the fields daily and will re-open them when they are safe for use.
